Our Process

Develop The Plan

Before the day of the shoot, we work together to develop a strategy for your photos. This involves defining the desired look and feel of the images - all in alignment with your brand guidelines, of course. We coordinate talent, props, and locations for print, web, and/or large-scale formats.

Capture Your Brand

With the pre-approved schedule in hand we head out into the field (or studio) to capture each setup, portrait, group shots or product shot. We art direct each location and work with talent and models that align with your desired brand image.

Edit Your Photos

After the photoshoot, we color correct and enhance and your images to ensure you get that perfect look. This process ensures consistency and brings out the intended mood and style. Once we edit and finalize the images - we send them out for delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

A lot depends on the particular shoot, but most importantly - you’ll want to confirm not just talent - but room availability. If products or software is involved, you’ll want to make sure you have those products on set (and back-ups!), as well as any software loaded onto screens ahead of time. It’s also important that you have any technical support team available for back-up to operate any software or machinery. You’ll also want to ensure that your talent arrives with appropriate wardrobe - that fits their role or branding of the scene.

Over the past twenty years, we’ve cultivated a broad network of photographers that specialize in specific areas - from headshots to product shots. We always prefer to collaborate with the right person for the right situation. Our “default style” favors natural environments, lighting and interactions that humanize brands.

Boy, do we! We love working with our tight local network that we’ve established a strong working relationship with over the years. This provides a ton of efficiencies on set. That said, we’ve also developed a national and even international network of local photographers who have an intimate knowledge of out of town locations - those who understand the nuances of production in that town - from knowing the best locations to capture a shot, to the local details of finding parking... and most importantly: the best coffee spots!

In terms of the shoot itself: it depends on the complexity of the shoot, and the number of shots we’re aiming to capture. Typically, even a “simple shoot” winds up being a couple hours from arrival to departure - but we’ve had photo shoots that have gone multiple days across multiple cities.
As for the overall process - the turnaround of your finished photos typically can go from a few days to a few weeks. It depends on the amount of finishing touches we need to apply.

OMG, yes! These are your photos! You hired us - so why would we not provide you with the finished files! (Apologies for the passion behind that answer... but we know it’s not always the case, and photographers who insist on keeping the rights to their photos have never made sense to us).
